Do you use AI?
Absolutely not. Action Fiction doesn’t use AI for text or image generation - our dumb jokes are powered by our dumb brains, thank you very much.
Also stop saying anything with an em dash is AI, man. I have been holding ALT and pressing 0151 on my numpad for like seven years, I didn’t perfect this muscle memory just to have AI ruin it for me, lmao

How is this different from the previous edition of Monsters of Murka?
It’s better-er, of course!
Alright, fine, we can be more specific.
There’s truly so much we’ve added, it’s tough to cover it all. The Economancy school of magic is brand new, along with about 40 other new spells. There’s about 30 new monsters, there’s a new Debate mechanic, there’s a TON of new weapons and magic items.
Plus, we’ve updated and rebalanced and in a lot of cases completely redesigned a lot of our content. Look, I’m gonna level with you: Murka was our first game, and while I’m incredibly proud of it, there were a lot of things we had to leave on the cutting room floor, and we’ve also grown a lot as game designers. Ratified & Radified isn’t just us giving our old work a fresh coat of paint; it’s us ripping out the bones of this house and, like the good doctor Frankenstein and his monster whose name I can’t remember, using them to build a home. I think. I’ll be honest, that metaphor sort of fell apart.
Really, we think that Ratified & Radified is the “ultimate” version of Murka, and after this campaign, we won’t be printing First Edition Murka anymore. This is the pinnacle of Murka, and all future Murka content will use this trilogy as its basis.

When will the books be ready?
We’re anticipating sending the books to print about two months after the campaign closes. The great thing about this campaign is that a lot of the books are already done, as we’ve been editing them for MONTHS (just check our Discord and see!). Once we’ve reached the campaign’s end, it’ll be time to typeset and layout all our changes, then ship it off to the printer!

Is this for D&D 5e or D&D 2024?
Both! With the Compatibility Kit, you’ll have everything you need to run Monsters of Murka in either edition.

Can I have advantage on my next roll in our D&D campaign?
Yeah, show your GM this FAQ and tell them Action Fiction says you can have advantage this ONE TIME. But next time, you gotta bring snacks.

Last Updated At: 08/20/25What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
